Mission

The Observatoire des sciences et des technologies (OST) is an organization devoted to the measurement of science, technology and innovation (STI). The OST’s objectives are:

Data To produce science, technology and innovation indicators, and especially output and impact indicators To develop and improve databases on publications… patents… funding… To create and manage a database interface on S&T in Canada	Services for our partners To assist in evaluating scientific and technological activities To provide access to database information To create networking opportunities for our partners
Knowledge transfer To develop international caliber expertise in scientometrics, technometrics and research evaluation To disseminate scientometric knowledge through: the publication of scientific articles and reports the publication of L’Observation S&T, a bulletin reviewing developments in STI indicators
