Vincent Larivière is associate scientific director of the Observatoire des sciences et des technologies. He is in charge, among other things, of relations with OST’s associate researchers and of the scientific revision of publications. He is also involved as scientific consultant for research services carried out for our partners and vice-rector of strategic planning and communications.

Vincent Larivière is an full professor at École de bibliothéconomie et des sciences de l’information of Université de Montréal. He is also a regular member of the Centre interuniversitaire de recherche sur la science et la technologie and the chairholder of the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication. Specialized in bibliometrics and research methodology, he writes a monthly column in the Acfas magazine called «Les mesures de la science». His numerous french and english publications are mostly about bibliometrics, infometrics and science policy. He owns a master degree in history from Université du Québec à Montréal and a PhD in information studies from McGill University.
