Accroissement de 2,1% du nombre de publications scientifiques au Canada pour 2000

In this first publication of L’OBSERVATION S&T, the OST presents general trends in the number of Canadian scientific publications in 2000. Overall, Canada’s output grew by 2.1% in 2000, while world output grew by 2.2%. In the health, pure and applied sciences, as well as in the social sciences and humanities, 1995 marks the beginning of a downturn for Canadian research, but a recovery seems underway in 2000.
